Year In Review: Unable To Find 12 Women Of The Year, BBC Crowns Panda Instead(via @Jezebel) ★
In a move that is sure to go down in adorable bear history, the BBC has named a female panda named Sweetie one of its female Faces of the Year. 2011 was either lacking severely in girlchievements or a banner year for lady pandas.
Yeah yeah, misogynistic media and all that but Ii kinda was a big year for lady pandas, maybe just not so much for Tian Tian. I mean, she is pretty much the Pippa Middleton of pandas, as she is British and cute and has yet to do anything of note other than show up to things. If you’re going to put a panda on it, at least make it Su Lin. Come on, BBC!
